Community Concerts

The single most encouraging part of the Trust’s work is to see the growth in the confidence of local young people that performing on stage can provide. Therefore, twice a year, the Trust hosts the GBRT Community Concerts to showcase talent of local young musicians who do not normally have the opportunity to perform on stage plus performances from the GBRT Choirs.

Each of the events, to date, has been sold out with standing room only – long may this last.  Although it is very nerve-wracking for the performers, each of them comes off stage to thunderous applause in recognition of their efforts.

Tickets
Tickets for the Community Concerts are only available on the door and we charge a nominal entrance fee for non-performers.  The ticket money then forms part of the Grants that the Trust distributes each year to local young musicians who either cannot afford instrumental lessons or the hire/purchase of an instrument.
